TRANSPORT DESIGN COURSE

The ISD RUBIKA Transport Design course trains professionals specialised in the design of mobility for goods and people. Traditionally oriented towards air, naval, rail and road transport, the course is now considered in the broader context of mobility.

Under the pedagogical direction of working professionals, the course prepares students for the operational mastery of industrial design. Students learn to conduct transport design projects: analysis of a problem, research into innovative concepts, prescription of viable solutions, etc. By the end of the course, students have completed four collective projects with companies, two of which were carried out as managers.

The goals of the course are :

  • To develop a designer culture and expertise
  • To analyse (and write) a creative brief
  • To acquire a project design methodology
  • To master the tools of representation and 3D animation
  • To propose innovative solutions with high added value
  • To prototype solutions and test them to validate their viability

The curriculum includes 3 periods of internship and concludes with a semester of pre-employment. The majority of internships take place abroad, in large design studios. As such, RUBIKA Design is a source of talent for the biggest car brands: Bugatti, Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, BMW, Mercedes, Volskwagen, Renault, Peugeot…
