PRESENTATION

The Preparatory Class is designed for holders of the baccalaureate wishing to go into artistic professions, animation, game art or industrial design. The goal is to give you every chance of succeeding in the competitive examinations of the best schools, particularly in the fields of animation, video games or industrial design.

This year of training is intended to teach you the fundamentals of art (observation drawing, volumes, creativity methods, illustration, etc.) and to build up your portfolio.

The educational program offers a variety of courses and workshops. The study of academics and the basics of drawing techniques are at the heart of the training, allowing students to acquire a solid foundation in applied working methods.

Throughout the year, students benefit from the support of professionals in the field of artistic and digital creation.

Accurately represent an observation made with the naked eye, learn to look, to decompose, to analyse an object…

COLOUR

Explore all aspects of colour in the visual arts: use, choice, harmony…

Perspective

Learn perspective and three-dimensional drawing, the placement of vanishing points and the horizon line…

CREATIVITY/METHODOLOGY

Learn creativity techniques, develop a creative vision, a creative methodology…

LIVING MODEL

Learn to sketch and to perfect the representation of the body, its shapes, its proportions…

ILLUSTRATION/GRAPHIC DESIGN

Learn all the techniques needed to become an illustrator: drawing, composition, imagination…

VOLUMES (MODELLING)

Study of volume through observation. Learn to create volumes through the modelling technique.

ART HISTORY/CULTURE

Draw up an overview of the history of games/animation. Study the history of art of its various artistic currents.

ADMISSIONS

The course is open to students who are curious and passionate about their studies, who have a creative base and who wish to upgrade their artistic skills in order to move into the fields of graphic design, animation, game art or industrial design. Students are selected through a competitive examination, a motivation interview and a review of their portfolio.

Includes registration for the Bachelor Cycle entrance exam

FURTHER EDUCATION

Students enrolled in the Preparatory Class are automatically enrolled in the RUBIKA bachelor’s exam and are free to take it.

The purpose of the diploma is to give access to a variety of training courses:
