CONTENT OF THE ENTRANCE EXAM
CREATIVITY TEST
⌛ 2 HOURS 30 MINUTES | COEFFICIENT 30%
The purpose of the test is to assess your ability to analyse a problem and propose solutions. A product interaction experiment will be described to you. You will be asked to define a scenario describing the current situation and the problems encountered. You will present the strategy you envision for identifying user needs. Finally, you will propose several possible improvements and choose one, taking care to justify your choices.
More than the quality of your illustrations, it is the finesse of your analysis and argument that will be assessed.
LOGIC TEST
⌛ 30 MINUTES | COEFFICIENT 20%
This test requires logic, observation, reasoning, and insight. It consists of questions and problems to be solved within a given time. To prepare, we recommend that you practice online. There are many ways to prepare for the logic tests in the Sésame and Tage-Mage competitive entrance examinations.
MOTIVATION INTERVIEW + PORTFOLIO
⌛ 20 MINUTES | COEFFICIENT 50%
The purpose of the interview is to assess your creative potential and gauge your interest in the design sector. This unique opportunity revolves around the presentation of a portfolio. It’s also a chance to show the members of the panel your personality, your desires, your level of commitment to what you’re passionate about, and the « why » behind your application. Your interests can help you stand out from the other applicants, particularly if they are reflected in your portfolio. Finally, we take the opportunity to assess your oral English.
The test is eliminatory if the candidate obtains a mark below the average.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE PORTFOLIO?
There is no particular formalism expected for the portfolio but a great expectation on the variety of work presented: observation drawings, perspectives, models, sketchbooks, digital realizations, scenarios of use… The idea is to show your creativity and your ability to express an idea.
In the case of very rich content, it is advisable to make a pre-selection in order to be sure to show the work most representative of the level already acquired. The remaining work will be made available to the examiner for consultation during the exchange.
