INVENT THE FUTURE, BECOME A DESIGNER

FOUNDED IN 1987, THE INSTITUT SUPÉRIEUR DE DESIGN RUBIKA IS A REFERENCE AMONG EUROPEAN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN SCHOOLS.

Students are thought the fundamentals of Transportation, Product Design as well as 3D modeling and rendering through the practice of different methodologies applied to projects (individually, in group, for competitions based on a professional brief). We train designers able to apprenhend every social, economic and cultural constraints through analysis, creativity and the mastery of skills specific to their industry.

PROVEN WORK METHODOLOGY

The ISD Program is made to meet the needs of the industry worldwide, giving you the skills and knowledge you need for a successful future career. Students will spend a large amount of time in our workshops, taking a product idea all the way from concept to creation, and will learn how to use a range of different design machinery and equipment. Workshops are carried out by a group of +/- 20 students, supervised by a professionnal designer. 

Successful students will be granted a BAC+5 Diploma that has been certified as a Level 1 Degree through the RNCP committee. 

HEADING TO GREAT CAREERS

Our graduate are known for their first-class professionalism and innovative approach. Typical career opportunities include consultant designers, integrated designers in manufacturing companies, bespoke furniture designers, freelance designers for multinational corporations, industrial designers and design management.

3 SPECIALIZATIONS

PRODUCT DESIGN

The Product Design Program trains projects manager qualified to be in charge of operational and strategic design processes for industrial and commercial organisations. The field of application is daily consumer goods, leasure goods, sports equipment…

TRANSPORTATION DESIGN

The Transportation Design Program covers general transport systems : automotive, railway, naval, aerial, urban. Students are thought to design and develop conceptual ideas, solid knowledge of work process in the industry, and a good comprehension of modern methodologies in transportation design.

DIGITAL DESIGN

The Digital Design Program trains 3D designers of products and processes, the production of digital decision and communication supports : 3D prototyping, animated movies, photorealistic pictures, virtual reality environments, real-time experiences…

BACHELOR INDUSTRIAL DESIGN 

The aim of this program is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and creative skills. Students are thought all aspects of industrial design by applying systematic state-of-the-art theories and methodologies. The course includes numerous prospective group projects and a 3-month internship, ensuring a rapid professionalization of our students.

Admission

Admissions to the first year are open to final year students or holders of the baccalaureate, all series combined. Students are selected by competition, motivational interview and study of their portfolio.

Diploma prepared

At the end of this cycle, students obtain a Bachelor Rubika (RNCP level 2 recognition planned for 2020). This title allows you to continue your studies in Cycle Expert Industrial Design.

MASTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

In this program, students master all aspects of industrial design by exercising their skills on pratical research studies, brought by industrial companies. The course provides an integrated approach with advanced studies in design theory and techniques, human factors and applied ergonomics, engineering, material and production constraints, sustainability and innovation methods.

 

Admission

The Expert Cycle is open to holders of a BAC + 3, within the limits of available places. Admission is by competition, interview and study of the portfolio.

Diploma prepared

At the end of the course, the students obtain the diploma of Manager in Design Engineering (BAC + 5), title certified by the State at the highest level of the RNCP (National Directory of Professional Certifications).
