Feminization of our tracks: where do we stand?

In 5 years, we have gone from 33% to 46% girls in our student population. Nevertheless, there are still some great disparities according to tracks of study and specialties. Indeed, girls are still more represented in courses with a strong artistic component (Animation, Game Art) but they are less common in courses with a technical focus (Game Design, Game Programming). Transport Design also struggles to attract female candidates. Female designers prefer to go into Product Design. It is up to us to act on conscious and unconscious biases to break down the stereotypes that can sometimes slow down applications.

To this end, RUBIKA has signed a « Charte Equité Respect Ethique” (Equity Respect Ethics Charter) committing ourselves to a better balance of representations within the professions for which we train.

Objectives of the charter:

– Ensure equity of our student population and professional staff.
– Promote respect and transmit a culture of Equality
– Teach and maintain ethical behaviors
– Communicate / Promote more about female or minority profiles
– Progress (continuous improvement of our actions)
